Kalmar and Stensö Camping 2011
Stensö Camping is a 3-star campsite beautifully situated on a peninsula in the Kalmar Sound, within walking distance of the city centre and Kalmar Castle. On Stensö you have the country side and the forest right next door and also the sea. Stensö is a valued recreational area for both locals and tourists. Some of Kalmar's most popular hiking trails go through the campsite.
Kalmar centre, known as Kvarnholmen, is located only 3 kilometres from the campsite. Kvarnholmen was first built upon in the 15th century and many buildings have been preserved and are still in use. You can rent a bicycle from us to take you into the city centre and back. You can find many of the most popular pubs and restaurants at Larmtorget, which easily can act as a starting point for the evening’s activities.
In our convenience store, you can buy freshly baked bread in the morning as well as freshly brewed coffee. We also have a large assortment of ice cream and groceries.
